Combined siren, voice prompt, and range extender
The Zigbee-based Smart Siren has several functionalities. Firstly, the siren can emit a loud sound, making it suitable for security purposes. If intruders, burglars, or other unwanted guests enter your customer’s property, the siren emits a ∼3 kHz alarm sound (90 dB @ 1 m) and sends a notification to the smart home system.
To protect your solution, the Smart Siren is EN50131 alarm certified and has a tamper switch to detect if the unit has been opened, which makes it a great addition to any home security system.
Enable your solution to talk to the customer
The Smart Siren allows you to use voice prompts to support the normal siren functionality, which ensures customers don’t need to remember patterns for different alarms. Voice prompts can also be used to accomplish important tasks such as notifications and confirmation of actions.
In a home care solution, the Smart Siren can be used to remind residents of taking their medication. Combined with a Smart Button or Panic Button, seniors living with relatives who care for them can easily activate a voice message saying that they need help in cases of an emergency. Similarly, the Smart Siren can give confirmation to seniors who have pressed a Panic Button that help is on its way.
The voice prompt of the siren further has uses in security solutions as it can confirm when users activate or deactivate an alarm system or informing the user of open windows when they want to arm their security system. In case of an emergency, the voice prompt can support the siren functionality by stating where in the home the emergency occurred (e.g. "intruder detected in the kitchen", "fire in the basement".
