Alarm validation and announcements in care and security solutions
When an alarm is triggered in a person’s home, for example through pressing a panic button or the absence of activity detected by a sensor, an alarm can be sent to an alarm central.
With the help of the Audio Assistant, the alarm center can validate how urgently help is needed through voice connection. This way, care personnel are not alerted unnecessarily or an ambulance can be sent urgently if the patient needs help.
In security solutions, the Audio Assistant can be used to “listen” to what is going on in the building and to inform intruders that security services or police have been alerted. The assistant can also be used to make announcements such as: “Fire in the building, please leave.”
Noise-triggered alarms
The Audio Assistant can be configured to trigger an alarm if noise above a certain level is detected. This can be used, for instance, to surveil disabled people while sleeping.
When they get up at night and stumble or fall out of bed, a nurse is alerted. If a call is triggered, but no further noise is detected, the call can be cancelled.
Additional features: Alternative design and local voice control
You can customize the design of the Audio Assistant to include an additional button, replace the large panic button with a small one, or choose your own configuration based on the design examples.
The Audio Assistant can optionally be delivered with local voice control. The voice control includes a range of local commands, which are defined in the software for the device and programmed in production. They can be changed through an OTA software update. The device can handle two languages at the same time.
Voice command examples are: “Switch lights on”, “Switch alarm on”, “Lock door”, “Call nurse”, “Call daughter”, “Help me” etc.
Please note: These features are subject to a development fee (NRE fee) and a MOQ of 5000 devices.
