Reliable and secure devices ideal for care solutions
The joint solution is based on the Squid.link gateways and the wireless devices offered by Develco Products. The white label devices are highly reliable and mature, making them ideal for home care solutions where data must be collected and transmitted constantly. The gateways and devices are protected by various security features to ensure that all collected data stays private.
The Squid.link gateways also support different protocols for communicating with the hardware. This way, the solution is compatible with the included Zigbee devices from Develco Products and can be integrated with existing hardware, which communicates via Zigbee or Bluetooth.
Easy installation and easy-to-use solution
NEMLIA provides a bespoke solution that makes the adoption of IoT technology in care facilities as smooth as possible. The hardware is quickly and discreetly installed requiring little maintenance.
The app is easy to use, especially for those not familiar with the technology. The features can be modified by the users to suit their needs within the care home, allowing fast understanding whilst ‘on the go’.

Reliable internet connection with WLAN and LTE
Without a good WLAN or cable connection, IoT solutions cannot function reliably. As reliable WLAN is not available to all of NEMLIA’s customers, they were looking for a gateway capable of connecting to cellular networks.
NEMLIA’s solution includes the Squid.link gateways with both WLAN and a SIM card slot for connecting to cellular networks. This ensures that the care solution always has an internet connection and can function reliably, which is essential in offering real-time updates and reacting to critical needs.
Reducing stress for caregivers and improving care with IoT devices
NEMLIA’s software and services have been created by caregivers for caregivers and are used in care homes and private homes. The software enables caregivers to spend more time with residents in need of care. Their app (Talva) and notification service provide a fast and easy overview of residents’ safety and activities. The real-time notifications inform caregivers of any changing circumstances to help plan efficient care.
