Meet Simon Riem, Head of Sales, DACH, and responsible for security and insurance solutions in Europe

Have you met Simon Riem, our Head of Sales, DACH? Simon is not only responsible for our German-speaking customers but also for current and future customers in the security and insurance industries.

He is based in Kaiserslautern, Germany, from where he is supporting customers all over Europe.

Simon has been working in sales for 10+ years, covering both in the DACH region and internationally. He has a strong interest and experience in the IoT industry, having worked as 1^st level tech support and key account manager for hardware and SaaS products.

1. Knows how to survive in the wild: Simon is an avid hiker, be it in the mountains or on extended walks with his dog. And if one of his hikes ever takes him too far into the wilderness, he can rely on his survival skills until he finds his way back – Simon knows what plants are edible, and how to make a shelter and fire.
   
   
2. Student entrepreneur: During his studies, Simon founded and ran a company delivering beverages to nightclubs and large parties – before drink-delivering services were widely available.
   
   
3. Music addict: Simon plays the piano and is DJ-ing – he even played at some nightclubs and weddings
   
   
4. Sleepy flyer: Whenever on a plane, he falls asleep as soon as the plane starts moving - a skill that comes in handy for someone whose work involves regular travel.
